Born in Anderson County, he was a son of William “Bill” Maddox Kay and the late Margaret Hawkins Kay. He was a member of Donalds Baptist Church and the owner and operator of Robert’s Body Shop and Robert’s Mini Warehouse Storage in Belton.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and father of Donalds are; his son, David Maddox (Jessica) Kay of Rock Hill, his daughter, Amanda Lynn Kay of Belton, his brother, Charles (Carrie) Kay of Awendaw, his sister, Sonji Aycock of N. Augusta, and two grandchildren, Ashlyn Marisa Kay and Grant Maddox Kay.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Sturkie and Rev. Rudy Halstead officiating. Private burial will follow in Donalds Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the home of his father, 1926 Willie Kay Road in Donalds, and will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home.
