Ethel Taylor

Ware Shoals – Ethel Lena Pitts Taylor, 82, widow of Fred Lewis Taylor, of 615 Smith Street Extension, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Hospice of Laurens County.

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Willie Pickney and Mary Burgess Henderson Pitts. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and the Love and Mary Martha Sunday School Class. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker.

Surviving are: her sister, Ruth Case of Clinton, two nieces and four nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, William Maxwell Pitts.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Jones, Rev. Dan Compton and Rev. Jake Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 2-3 P.M. Tuesday at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice of Laurens County, 1304 Springdale Drive, Clinton, SC 29325.
