Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late R.E. and Gladys Beatrice Busby Bratcher. He was a member of Donalds Baptist Church and attended Honea Path Church of God of Prophecy. He was formerly employed with Riegel Textile Corp. Cecil loved being outdoors, cutting grass for people, and all animals.
Surviving are: his son, Franklin Welton (Mary) Bratcher of Honea Path, two brothers, Ralph Bratcher of Abbeville, and Wayne (Brenda) Bratcher of Belton, a sister, Adell Hines of Anderson, two brothers-in-law, Leroy Campbell and Larry Bannister, both of Belton, and a special niece, Vickie Alexander. He was predeceased by two sisters, Bonnie Jean Bratcher and Margaret Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Crocker officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family is at the home of his niece, Vickie, 219 Horseshoe Road, Honea Path, and will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday, March 10, 2017 at Pruitt Funeral Home.
