Born in Anderson County, he was a son of Robert Eugene and Shirley Day Higdon. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a retired construction worker.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Higdon (Ronnie Patterson) of Clinton and Jennifer Higdon Derrick (Phillip) of Greenwood, a brother, Deryl Higdon (Donna) of Donalds, a sister, Patty Marshall of Lancaster, four grandchildren, Mason Williams, Korra Williams, Vadin Williams, and Raegan Patterson, and his former wife and caregiver, Susan Rankin Higdon.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path with Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating.’
