Charles Timms

Belton – Charles Henry Timms, 82, husband of Martha Jane Fields Timms, died peacefully at his home after battling with Alzheimer’s for two years.

Born in Belton, he was a son of the late Clarence Rufus and Bertha Lee Motes Timms. He was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from Bigelow Sanford Belton Plant.

Surviving are his wife of the home, a daughter, Tammy Jo Welch (Glenn) of Belton, three brothers, Roy Timms(Mary), Bobby Timms, and Billy Timms, all of Belton, a sister, Margaret Ellett of Belton, and two grandsons, Coleman and Taylor Welch of whom he was very proud. He was pre-deceased by four brothers, Junior, Rufus, David, and James Timms, and a sister Catherine Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path with Mr. Glenn Welch and Rev. Mike Ellett officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path, prior to the service. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
