Dennis “Deno” Babb

Ware Shoals – Dennis Horace “Deno” Babb, of 2 Holloway Drive, Ware Shoals, died Monday, February 6, 2017 at Self Regional Heathcare.



Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Horace Nathaniel and Ruby Owens Babb. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked in construction, brick masonry, and in textiles, had been employed by Riegel and Chiquola Mills, and served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Babb is survived by one daughter: Crystal Ruby Davis and husband Thomas Bradley of Belton; two brothers: Donnie Babb and wife Connie of Hodges and Stanley Babb of Ware Shoals; three sisters: Shirley Doan and husband Jerry of Ware Shoals, Lula Ashley and husband Danny of Ware Shoals, and Mary Browning of Fountain Inn.; one granddaughter, Erika Michelle Williams; and a special friend: Carol Bryant.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating.

The family is at their respective homes, and will receive friends Wednesday from 7-9 PM at Parker-White Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made Zion Assembly Church of God, PO Box 144, Ware Shoals, SC 29692.
