Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Louie and Rose Crane Cobb. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church, and was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband of the home, Mrs. McCurry is survived by one niece: Shelley Strickland and husband Mark of Ware Shoals; one brother: Ty Cobb of Greenwood; one sister: Betty Cooper of Hampton, GA; and four grandchildren: Jacob, Haley, Andrew, and Jenna Grace Strickland.
She is preceded in death by six brothers: Calvin, Hack, Marshall, Tom, Billy and Rinkey Cobb; and two sisters: Alice Hanks and Mattie Crawford.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Ware Shoals First Baptist Church, with Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday at the church, prior to the service.
