Dorothy McMahan

Belton – Mrs. Dorothy Mae Campbell McMahan, 85, of 307 Alewine Road, widow of James Thomas McMahan, died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Hunley and Ethel Hamilton Campbell. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from Rice Mills of Belton.

Surviving are: two daughters, Sherry Faye Ashley and Sharon Kaye Richey of Belton; one brother, Charlie Campbell of Ware Shoals; four grandchildren, Josh Ashley, Teresa McMahan, Daniel Saylors and Leslie Vesey and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Jimmy Allen McMahan, a brother Howard Campbell, and six sisters, Inez Bratcher, Lilly Bell Bratcher, Frances Garrett, Nora Lee Stancil, Etheleen Chapman and Beatrice Freeman.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2PM at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rickey Rice officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
