Elizabeth Bishop

Ware Shoals – Elizabeth Ann Turner Bishop, 90, widow of William Everett Bishop, of 5615 Poplar Springs Road, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at NHC of Clinton.

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Burl and Susa Anna Jane Sosebee Turner. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church where she was very active in the WMU. She was retired from Hickory Tavern Sportsware.

Surviving are a son, Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop (Janice) of Ware Shoals, two daughters, Yuvonne “Bonnie” Fleming (Jerry) of Belton, and Margaret Owings (Steve) of Greenwood, a daughter-in-law, Dale Bishop of Ware Shoals, a sister Doris Thompson (Hack) of Hickory Tavern, seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, E. Turner Bishop and a great-great-grandson, Everett Fassett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Bruce Ostrom officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Thursday at Poplar Springs Baptist Church prior to the service.
