Honea Path – Raymond Billy Long, 86, widower of Etrulia Ashley Long of 1601 Griffin Farm Rd. passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Southern Oaks Health and Rehab surrounded by his family. Born on June 4, 1930, he was a son of the late James Thomas and Ora Davis Long. Raymond was retired from Wamisetta and served 2 years in the Air Force. He was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for several years.

Mr. Long is survived by a daughter Frankie Sue Long Smith (Wayne) of Honea Path, a brother, Bobby Long of Abbeville, two grandchildren, Billy Dwayne Smith (Katie) and Frankie Darlene Spearman, and four great-grandchildren, Bentley Smith, Gabriel Smith, Ashley Spearman, and Amber Spearman. He was pre-deceased by a brother Davis Long and three sisters, Mary Long, Linda Saylors, and Jean Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
