Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Allen William and Melba Thompson Davis. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Ware Shoals, and was retired from the Sheraton Beach Resort, Key Largo, Fl. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Vietnam War.
Surviving are his companion, Joyce Dovolo of the home, two sons, Jason Davis (Crystal) of Iva and Jon Davis of Honea Path, a brother, Billy Davis (Sherry) of McCormick, a sister, Becky Hodges (Keith) of Hodges and four grandchildren.
