Ethel Haynes

Ware Shoals – Ethel Eugenia Duckworth Haynes, 95, widow of John Warren Haynes, of 27 North Greenwood Avenue Ext., died Monday, October 24, 2016.

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Wilbourne and Olivia Williams Duckworth. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and formerly worked at Riegel Textile Corp. She was a member of the Ware Shoals Chapter of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are: her foster-son, James O’Shields of Ware Shoals, three grandchildren, Randy Ashmore, Carla Paysinger and Brian Padgett, and seven great-grandchildren, Matthew Ashmore, Jonathan Ashmore, Jennifer Ashmore, Jessica Brooks, Haven Reynolds, Devonie Paysinger, and Austin Paysinger, and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Dorothy Padgett, three brothers, Ray, Clyde, William 'Bill" and Troy Duckworth, and two sisters, Mattie Traynham and Grace Watson.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
