Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Clifton and Mattie Marie Knox Sanders. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a retired LPN for Palmetto Richland Medical Center.
Surviving are: two sons, Wade Rivers and wife Dana, Russell Rivers and wife Jackie all of Irmo; one daughter, Ann Gaines and husband Jeff of Florida.; one sister, Cynthia Sanders Hitt and husband Robert of Greenwood; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Wade, Waymon and Charlie Sanders.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Greenwood, SC with Rev. David Hitt officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
