Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Moise Robert and Edna Grace Lackey Cole. He was a member of Williamston Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from Riegel Textile Mill, where he worked in the napper room.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are five daughters, Karen Edwards (Scott) of Kershaw, Teresa Sullivan (Warn) of Waterloo, Donna Sue Ansley (David) of Anderson, Edna Estelle Hammond of the home and Tammy Elaine Brissey (Robbie) of Ninety Six, one brother, Stanley Cole of Anderson, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Sidney was predeceased by two brothers, Douglas Cole, Roger Cole and two sisters, Mary Bullock and Judy Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Brown, Rev. Robbie Brissey, Rev. Stanley Cole and Rev. Mark Ginn officiating. Burial will follow at Ware Shoals Cemetery.
