Frances Timms Long

Donalds – Frances Ann Timms Bell Long, 94, widow of James A Long, of 7019 Highway 178 North, died Saturday, September 03, 2016 at Hospice of the Piedmont.

Born in Hodges, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Martha Hodges Timms. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She was retired from Park Seed Company. As a child she attended the one room school at Walnut Grove. She was twice married, first to the late Lee Bell.

Surviving are a son, Robert Lee Bell, Jr. (Lona) of Hodges, three daughters, Martha Surles of Stockbridge, Ga., Sandra Griffith (Walter) of Gastonia, NC, and Karen Bell (Harold) of Union , SC, two sisters, Martha Ezell and Mildred McAlister, both of Greenwood, four grandchildren, Mike Griffith, Rickey Surles, Sonya Hogan, and Katie Durham, and eight Great-Grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Woodrow, Paul and Melvin Timms, and two sisters, Mary Timms and Elizabeth Cooper.

Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, September 5, 2016 at Greenville Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Robertson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 P.M. Monday at Greenville Presbyterian Church. The family is at the home her son, Robert Bell, Jr., 6625 Highway 178 North, Hodges.
