Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late C.W. and Elizabeth Bolt Murphy. She was a devoted wife for 53 years, and a beloved mother and Mimi. She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church where she was a member and teacher of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and member of the Adult Choir. She was a 1963 graduate of Honea Path High School where she was a drummer in the Marching Band. She was a retired pharmacy technician for CVS.
Surviving are her husband of the home, a daughter Allyson Walker (John) of Honea Path, a son Patrick Murphy Fant (Sheila) of Pendleton, a sister, Barbara Hughes of Honea Path, four grandchildren, Samantha Martin (Matt), Jenn Fant, Brock Fant, and Isaac Walker, and two great-grandchildren, Ryan Martin and Mark Alan Martin. She was pre-deceased by a son Mark Alan Fant, two brothers, Charlie Murphy and Bill Murphy, and a sister Joan Campbell.
Memorial Services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday at Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Moody officiating. A private interment will be held.
The family will receive friends after the service on Saturday at Honea Path First Baptist Church.
