Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Jewell Less and Ella Daisy Goldsmith Holloway. He was a faithful member of Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy, where he was Minister of Music and a Sunday School teacher. David was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was retired from The Timken Co.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 48 years of the home are: his daughter, Malinda (Matthew) Grubb of the home, a brother, Jack (Brenda) Holloway of Belton, two sisters, Daisy (C.J.) Crocker and Inez (Noah) Allen, all of Belton, two grandchildren, Jerron Holloway and Charity Rochester, and two great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Holloway and Emma Jean Rochester, due soon. He was predeceased by two brothers, Mike and Marvin Holloway, and a sister, Peggy Brown.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop E. Howard Steen and Brother Freddie Rodriguez officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home.
