Charlie "Brother" McClain, Jr.

Belton – Charlie “Brother” McClain, Jr, 68, of 17809 Hwy 20, went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 9, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Charlie Simpson and Martha Nettielou Brock McClain. He was a member of Belton Church of God. Brother was known as “The Waving Man” on Brown Ave Ext. He touched many lives with this simple gesture to all that traveled up and down the road in front of his home.

Surviving are: three brothers, Sammy (Patsy) McClain of Honea Path, Dennis (Marlene) McClain of Simpsonville, and Richard (Tammi) McClain of Belton, six sisters, Becky Edwards of the home, Eveline (Donnie) Edwards, Sue Oates, Linda Faye Strickland, Lucia McClain and Shelby Holloway, all of Belton.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Belton Church of God with Rev. Norman Black, Rev. Paul Cooper, and Rev. Travis Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
