Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late John Claude and Katherine Vermillion Pearman. She was a member of Donalds United Methodist Church. Patsy graduated from Erskine College with a B.A. Degree in Music Education. She taught music for most of her adult life in several school districts, several churches, and by giving private piano lessons. Patsy touched many lives through her gift of music. She retired from Abbeville School District 60.  She was also owner and operator of J. C. Pearman Company, Inc. in Donalds. She was a member of the Board at the Donalds – Due West Water Authority. Patsy was a beloved mother and grandmother.

Surviving are: her son, John McDonald of Donalds, her two daughters, Dana M. (Carol) Ellis and Millie McDonald, all of Donalds, and two grandchildren, Jana E. (Josh) Burton of Donalds and T.J. Ellis of Greenville. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Daniel L. Pearman.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 at Donalds Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Fred Treaster and Mrs. Mary Wolfe officiating.

The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Jana Burton, 270 E. Main St. in Donalds, and will receive friends from 1 – 2:30 p.m. Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path.
