Born in Greenwood County September 18, 1958, he was a son of the late James E. and Marcella Mailander Holladay. John made Honea Path and Belton his home for the last 20 plus years. He was known to his friends as “Hollywood”. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and in the mountains, and especially enjoyed playing pool. He was well known for his skills on the pool table. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are: his children, Karen and Jamie Holladay, both of Greenwood, three brothers, William and Mark Holladay, both of Greenwood and Joe Holladay of Honea Path, and two sisters, Diane Fulmer of Belton and Wanda Dove of Honea Path.
The family will celebrate John’s life by visiting with family and friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
