Born in Stone Mountain GA, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Price and Odie Mae Garrett King. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church and retired from the Honea Path Shirt Plant.
Surviving are: a son, Randy (Sherri) Ashley of Honea Path, five daughters, Brenda Gilmer, Janice (Carroll) Ashley, Patricia (Bob) Corbin, Stacy Hogg and fiancé Wesley Lyons, all of Honea Path, and Latasha Ashley of Anderson, one brother, five sisters, nine grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Ralph Eugene Ashley, Jr. and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Janice, 407 Sherwood Ave, Honea Path, and will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
