Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of Nancy Blizzard Collins and the late Aubrey G. Collins. He was a loving husband and father and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Laurens and was a Marine Veteran of Operation Desert Storm, Desert Shield and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He worked at Cryovac in Simpsonville as a films operator.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: two sons, Stephen Carson Collins of Columbia and Nicholas Kelly Collins of the home, a daughter; Cynthia Michelle Collins of Ware Shoals, and one brother Aubrey Glenn (Cooter) Collins Jr of Donalds. He was predeceased by one brother Robert James Collins.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Lowe and Rev. Roger Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at 518 Dunn’s Creek Rd, Donalds, and will receive friends Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. at Parker-White Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt.
