Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late David Arthur and Betty Jo Poole Allen. She was of the Baptist faith and formerly employed by Chiquola Mills. Kathy always had a loving and caring spirit for everyone.
Surviving are: two sons, Jason (Tiffany) Gilmer of Honea Path and Sammy (Kristin) Gilmer of Anderson, three sisters, Sherry (Brad) Medlock of Taylors, Vickie (Eric) Allen of Honea Path, and Davine Cooley of Saluda, five grandchildren, David, Dustin and Caitlyn Gilmer, Jessica Myers, and Harper Gilmer. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gary and Lester Allen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Private burial will follow.
