Born in Laurens County, he was a son of Gail Sawyer Ficklin and the late Jefferson McNeil Ficklin. He was formerly a carpenter and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are his wife of the home, his mother of Craytonville, a step-son, Larry Colson of Ware Shoals, two brothers, Everett Ficklin of Greenville and Robert Ficklin of Laurens, and two sisters, Tina Ficklin of Craytonville and Alisa Ficklin of Greenville. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Bobby Ficklin and Jeffrey Ficklin.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at Parker-White Funeral Home on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 2 to 4 P.M. The family will be at their respective homes. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials sent to the Marcus Ficklin Fund, c/o First Citizens, 808 N.
