Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late James Young and Mary Pearl Massey Simpson. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and a US Navy veteran of WWII. Mr. Simpson was retired from Seabrook Machine.
Surviving are: his daughter, Charise S. (Jack L.) Jones of Honea Path, a brother, James Simpson of Anderson, a grandson, Jack A. (Tammy) Jones of Anderson and a great-grandson, Zack Jones. He was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shane Elrod officiating. Burial will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery.
