Born in West Germany, she was the daughter of the late Friedrich Ernst and Lina Rost Bilgram. Mrs. Davis was a retired veteran of the US Army, having served 20 years, and had formerly been employed at Bally Hotel in Las Vegas.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 36 years of the home are: her mother-in-law, Helen Davis Smith, and step-father-in-law, Ralph Smith of Ware Shoals, two stepdaughters, Cyndee Davis (Craig) Crawford of Ware Shoals and Angela Davis (Joe) Dyal of Belton, a step-sister, Robin Caldwell, step-brother-in-law, Keith Smith, step-sister-in-law, Donna Smith, nephew, Volker Hartmann, step-nephew, James Smith, six grandchildren, Karolyne and Kellar Crawford, Jon-Michael (Kristina) Eubanks, Joseph-Tyler Dyal, Joshua and Kristin Barker, and one great-grandchild, Leo Eubanks.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her father-in-law, Joseph Alvin Davis, and a grandchild, Saul Crawford.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, November 9, 2015 at Calvery Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Hans Wunch officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of her mother-in-law, 4 Parkway Dr., Ware Shoals, and will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Parker-White Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to Best Friends Sanctuary at bestfriends.org
