Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late James Robert and Bernice Holliday Epps. He was a member of Keowee Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon for 33 years and taught the Youth Sunday School Class for many years. Frankie loved his church and served in many other various capacities over the years including coaching the church softball team for many years and he loved his "girls". He was a US Army veteran and also served in the South Carolina National Guard for 7 years. He worked with Davis Electrical at Fiber Industries for 18 years and retired from Goodman Conveyors.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 50 years of the home are: his daughter Tiffany Epps Scogins and her husband Rusty of Honea Path, a brother, James “Burlo” Epps of Ware Shoals, and his grandson, Dustin Scogins of Honea Path. He was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Keowee Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Lee and Rev. Carroll Plemmons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Robinson, Riley Gunnells, Joe Robinson, Matt Gambino, Robert Medlock and Charles Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers will be all active and inactive Deacons of Keowee Baptist Church.
The family is at the home of his daughter, 7 Robinson Street, Honea Path, and will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
