Born in Perry, Georgia, he was a son of the late Robert Walter, Sr. and Caroline McKenzie Stone. He was retired from the City of Anderson.
Surviving are two sisters, Rhetta Stone Holder and Shelley Stone Fleming (Brian) both of Honea Path, two Nephews, Brad Thompson (Heather) of Charleston and Jackson Kizer of Honea Path, a great-nephew, Jackson Bradley Thompson and a great-niece, Sarah Kate Thompson.
The family is at the home of his sister, Shelley Fleming, 14 Lee St., Honea Path, and will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Pruitt Funeral Home.
