Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late James and Evelyn Banister Robinson. He was a member of Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. Tommy was the retired owner/operator of Tommy’s Tire Mart.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 51 years of the home are: a son, Tommy Ray Robinson, Jr. and his companion, Dana Rush of Due West, a daughter, Missy and husband, Dr. Steve Worsham of Anderson, a brother, Aubrey Banister of Honea Path, a sister, Edith Hughes and husband Bill of Greenwood, seven grandchildren, Tommy Ray Robinson, III, Kayla Robinson, Charlie Robinson, Pressley Bryant, Miranda Robinson, Cierra Robinson, and Alex Worsham, and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Banister, and three sisters, Jennie Pait, Mamie Galloway, and Betty Baldwin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Crocker officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E.
