Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Avery Dean (Slim) and Betty Powell Ashley of Hodges. He was employed by Fuji and a 1982 graduate of WareShoalsHigh School. He attended GethsemaneChurch.
Surviving are his wife of the home, his parents of Hodges, a son, Andrew Ashley of Donalds, three daughters, Jordan Ashley Rogerson (Wes) and Amber Reaves (Chris) both of Ware Shoals, and Hannah Ashley of the home, a brother, Michael Powell of Due West, two sisters Tammy Watson of Ware Shoals and Melissa Wells (Kevin) of Greenwood, and a maternal grandmother, Eulala Powell of Ware Shoals.
Memorial services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at GethsemaneChurch (Ware Shoals First Presbyterian) with Rev. Mark Lowe officiating.
