Charles Milton "Jim" Campbell

Honea Path – Charles Milton “Jim” Campbell, 91 husband of Edna Rebecca Martin Campbell, of 5 Sunset Drive, died Saturday, July 11, 2015.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Rufus and Lula Bailey Campbell. He was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Navy where he served in the Seabees as an electrician in the Philippines during WWII. He was retired from Pat Hughes Chevrolet. Mr. Campbell served on The Commercial Bank Board of Directors for 40 years, he volunteered with Meals on Wheels, was a charter member of the Starcraft Campers Club, a member of IPTAY for 50 years and an avid Clemson Tiger fan.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 67 years of the home are: his daughter, Mary Lou (Brad) Chiles of Simpsonville, his daughter-in-law, Brenda Campbell of Fort Mill, his brother, Leonard Campbell of Belton, two sisters, Bobbie (Buddy) Blakely and Jane (Ralph) Cauthen, both of NC, four grandchildren, Kevin Campbell, Kristi Wylie, Jonathan and Benjamin Chiles and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Dennis Martin Campbell and two sisters, Aileen Locke and Mary Creekmore.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2015 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Moody and Rev. Jamie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Honea Path First Baptist Church, 100 S. Main St., Honea Path, SC 29654.
