Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Willis Elmore and Margaret Bagwell Sawyer. She was a member of Austin Rd Baptist Church and was formerly employed at Patrick B. Harris.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: a son, Tony Lester (Brandy) Ruth, Jr. of Belton, two daughters, Gerry Diane Saxton and Wendy Rae Stevens (Raymond Gill), all of Belton, a brother, Ray Sawyer of Belton, two sisters, Gail Ficklin of Belton and Gerry Sawyer (Larry Pruitt) of Donalds, thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Garden of Memories with Pastor Joel Keown and Assistant Pastor Blake Stevens officiating.
