Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Frank William and Ruby McCurry Ashley. She was a member of Mt Bethel Baptist Church and retired from Sportswear Unlimited of Antreville.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Raymond “Billy” Long of the home, her daughter, Frankie Sue Long Smith and husband Wayne of Honea Path, her brother, Wyatt William Ashley and wife Eunice of Belton, two grandchildren, Billy Dwayne Smith and wife Katie of the home, and Frankie Darlene Spearman and her fiancée Junior Campbell of Honea Path, and three great-grandchildren, Bentley Smith of the home and Ashley and Amber Spearman of Honea Path, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Alice Ashley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Mt Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Butch Wilson and Rev. Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home.
