Born in Greenwood county, he was  a son of the late Lee Cheshire and Pearl Smith Cheshire. He was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and was retired from Kemet. He was an outdoorsman and loved fishing, gardening, raising miniature horses and had many hummingbird feeders.

Surviving are sons; Ricky Allen Cheshire and wife Samantha of Simpsonville and Mike Cheshire, daughters; Lisa C. Jermyn and husband James Shawn of Anderson and Leeanne C. Murrell and husband Mike of Knoxville, TN and brother; Ronnie Cheshire of Ware Shoals, grandchildren; Cory, Shawn, Ryan, Katie, and Emily Cheshire, Tyler and Abby Cox, Austin Culbreth and Joey Evans, grandchild; Bentley Cheshire. He was predeceased by a grandson; Zachary Cheshire and brothers; David, Donald and Larry Cheshire and sister; Diane Lamb.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
