Honea Path – Lucia Elizabeth Cowan Ashley, 87, widow of James Edward Ashley, of 511 Church St., died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at National Healthcare of Anderson.
Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Sula Brock Cowan. She was a member of Austin Road Baptist Church, and was retired from Park-Davis Inc.
Surviving are one daughter: Tammy Ashley Cornell of Anderson; two grandchildren: Travis Cornell (Ashley) of Sasebo, Japan, and Tyler Cornell (Nichole) of Belton; and two great-grandchildren: Tycen Blake Cornell and Baylor Nichole Cornell.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Cecil Cowan and Leslie Cowan; and one sister: Catherine Cowan Ashley.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 27, at Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joel Keown officiating.
