Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late J.B. and Mamie Kilgore McClain. She attended Big Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Gerald Davis (Cindy)  of Belton, Frank Davis (Barbara) of Belton, and John Davis (Melinda) of Abbeville; two daughters, Cathey Ellis of Greer and Diane Elders (Rev. Don) of Greer; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Henry McClain, two sisters, Gladys Fleming and Mary Frances Reese, and a great-grandson, Evan Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 P.M. Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to  Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W.
