Born in Cheddar, he was a son of the late Charles Edward and Janie Elizabeth Reid Holland. He was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church, and was retired after 31 years from the Milliken and Company. Mr. Holland also served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War.

In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by two sons: Pat Holland and wife Beth of Anderson and Bryan Ashley and wife Gale of Belton; two daughters: Lawson Ashley of Pelzer and Susan Keown and husband Brad of Honea Path; one brother: Bill Holland of Ware Shoals; one sister: Sybil Willard of Ware Shoals; eleven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Charles Reid Holland, John Holland, Jack Holland, and Grady Holland; and two sisters: Edna Strickland and Grace Holland.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Honea Path First Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Moody and Rev. Pat Murdock officiating.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday, from 6 to 8 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home.
