Born in Rutherfordton County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Lee Pearson and Pearl Wise Hodge. She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years, and was a homemaker. Lois was a devoted wife and a loving mother, who also loved her church dearly.

Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 71 years of the home are: a son, William Mason (Jeri) Dellinger, Jr, of Vienna, VA, a daughter, Judith Elaine Dellinger McClain, of Honea Path, three sisters, Doris Owens, Clara Gallion and Jewel Keener, two grandchildren, Joyce Elaine Lawson and Lauren Ann Schmidt and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Bud Hodge and a grandson, William Aaron McClain.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Moody officiating. Burial will be private.

The family is at the home of her daughter, 390 Cowan Rd, Honea Path, and will receive friends from 1 - 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
