Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Jones William and Bessie Bond Ware. He was of the Baptist Faith and a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He retired from Monsanto and was a self employed upholsterer. 

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 65 years of the home are: his son, Larry Ware of the home, four grandchildren, Kelly, Kari, Chris and Mandy, and eight great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, and was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
