Honea Path – Carrie Bowen Johnson, 76, widow of Lankford Johnson, of 301 Canfield Rd, died Monday, June 2, 2014 at her home.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lula Mae Fletcher Bowen. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Anderson and retired from Belton Corporation.
Those left to cherish her memory, are: one son, Frankie Johnson of the home, two daughters, Darlene Templeton of the home and Vickie (Roger) Fields of Honea Path, a brother, Paul (Betty) Bowen, Jr. of Williamston, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased in death by her parents, husband, a son, Greg Johnson, and brothers, Larry and Andy Bowen.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church in Anderson with Rev. Greg Hamman and Rev. Tab Scarborough officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. The family is at the home, 301 Canfield Rd.
