Mr. Crawford was born in Ware Shoals, SC. He was a son of the late Roy E. and Edna Mae Ricketts Crawford. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard E. Crawford.

He graduated from Erskine College in 1960 with a double major in Business and Education. His career in Business included positions as Group Controller and Director of Operations, General Instrument Corporation, New York, New York. He was also Corporate Financial Analyst at Mt Vernon Industries, Greenville, SC. Mr. Crawford retired from Reeves Brothers Inc. as Controller, Apparel Textile Group, Spartanburg, SC.

Mr. Crawford is survived by his son, James Scott Crawford, his daughter, Susan Crawford Anfin and son-in-law James Doyle, his grandchildren, Tillman Scott Crawford, Mary Crandall Doyle, and Patrick Crawford Doyle.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Broadmouth Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Robert Emory officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the service.
