Sally Genelle “Jeannie” Sutton Calvert, 64, widow of M.Sgt. William Joseph Calvert, Jr. died Tuesday at her home. She was born in Marietta, Ga., a daughter of the late J.C. and Bessie Lanning Sutton. She was a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church and had been Director of Women’s Ministry.
Surviving her are three sons, Brent Calvert and wife, Dianne, Hodges, Shanon Calvert and wife Kelley, Donalds, and Jeffrey Calvert, Knoxville, Tn.; also, four brothers, Floyd Sutton, Marietta, Ga., Michael Sutton , Carrollton, Ga., George Sutton, Powder Springs, Ga., and Keith Sutton, Douglasville, Ga.; two sisters, Geraldine Sutton, Cochran, Ga. And Nancy S. Padgett, Adairsville, Ga.and six grandchildren, Morgan Calvert, Brett Calvert, Will Calvert, Jake Calvert, Alyssa Calvert and Mia Calvert.
She was pre-deceased by two brothers, William George Sutton and Clint Sutton and one sister, Patricia Ann S. Jacobs.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 3 pm at Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mac Jones and Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park. The Woman’s Ministry will serve as honorary escort.
