Honea Path – Frances McAlister McCurry, 91, widow of Allen Duwane McCurry, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Belton, SC, she was a daughter of the late David Wister and Pearl Cummings McAlister. She was an active member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Joe McCurry of Barnwell and Johnny McCurry and wife Denise of Belton, a sister Hazel Harwick of Odessa, Fl. Mourning her loss are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by a brother David McAlister and three sisters, Inez McDowell, Edith Hall, and Lucille Smith.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at the Garden of Memories with Rev. Mike Moody officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials made to the Honea Path First Baptist Church, 100 S. Main St. Honea Path, SC 29654.
