June Vanadore
Ware Shoals – June Bratcher Vanadore, widow of Ernest A. “Buddy” Vanadore passed away on April 26, 2014 at her home.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Delbert M. and Euellen Watson Bratcher. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church, and the Mary-Martha Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Honea Path High School and Anderson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a retired registered nurse, having worked many years at Riegel Textile Corp., and retired from Medical Textiles, Inc.
She is survived by one son: Bryan Vanadore and wife Cheryl; and two grandchildren: Keri and Adger Vanadore.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by one brother: Jack Bratcher; and one sister: Lyndall Pegram.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 3:30 PM at Ware Shoals First Baptist Church, with Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of her son, Bryan, 5381 Poplar Springs Rd., and will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Lander University, Vanadore Nursing Scholarship Fund, 320 Stanley Ave., Greenwood, SC 29649.
