Born in Belton, he was a son of the late Loyd Grant and Helen Hawkins Finley. He was a member of Austin Road Baptist Church, and was retired from BASF. He served in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 44 years, Mr. Finley is survived by his daughter: Kelly Rowland and husband Russell of Honea Path, and two granddaughters: Kaelyn and Haleigh Rowland.
He was predeceased by one brother, Terry Finley.
He is also survived by two grand-dogs: Big Pup and Miss Molly.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Monday, April 21st at Austin Road Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Slatten and Mr. Mabry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at M. J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Flowers will be graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to Austin Rd. Baptist Church, 1619 Austin Rd., Honea Path, SC 29654, or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
