Born in Hempstead, NY, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Frederick and Elizabeth Malekian Kearsch. She was a registered nurse having formerly worked for Northwest Medical Center.

Surviving are one son; Trebor Johnson of Garrison, KY., three daughters; Stephanie Johnson (Michael Zarch) and Kristina Hill (Tom, Jr.) both of Honea Path and Michelle Beall (Darrell) of Springhill, FL., two brothers; Dennis Kearsch and Dickran Kearsch and one sister; Margarite Fisher, five grandchildren; J.R. Garvin, Bryce Beall, Lorelai Hill, Lucas Hill and Kamden Zarch.
