Frances Garner

Ware Shoals – Frances Oliver Garner, 90, widow of Lloyd Vernon Garner, of 31 W. Main St., died Monday, March 17, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late William Leonard and Stella Huggins Oliver. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church, and retired from Riegel Textile Corp.

Surviving are: a son, Joe Garner of Lexington, one sister Reba Oliver of the home, a sister-in-law, Linda Garner of Simpsonville, four grandchildren, Wendy McClennan (Micheal) of Spartanburg, Kevin Garner (Kelly) of Princeton, Matt Walker of Charleston, and Katie Stokes (Brad) of Columbia, and five great-grandchildren, Mia and Noah McClennan and John Paul, Raylyn and Lydia Garner. She was predeceased by a son, Fred Garner, a daughter, Judy Gambrell, and a brother, J.D. “Buck” Oliver.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
