Born in Aiken she was a daughter of the late Henry Louis,Sr. and Galdys Cowan Cunningham. She was a member of the Ware Shoals First Presbyterian Church and attended Newspring Church of Greenwood. She was retired from The Oaks Nursing Home of Orangeburg.
Surviving are a son, Bruce Thompson and wife Amanda of Ware Shoals, two brothers, Leroy Cunningham of Aiken and Jimmy Cunningham of Edgefield, and a grandson Bryce Thomspson. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Henry L. Cunningham, Jr.
