Wayne Gosnell

Donalds – James Wayne Gosnell, 91, widower of Margaret Ricketts Gosnell, of 623 Smith St. Ext., died Monday, December 30, 2013 at his home.

Born in Pickens Co., he was a son of the late James Holland and Clara Mae McKee Gosnell. He was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and a US Army veteran of WWII. He was retired from Greenwood Mills.

Surviving are: a brother J.C. Gosnell and wife Margie of Greenwood, and a sister, Almetta Smith of Belton. He was predeceased by two sisters, Lenora Cox and Brennie Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Compton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at Parker-White Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W.
