Born in Belton, he was a son of the late Clarence and Mae Campbell Branyon. He had been an electrician with Riegel Textile Corp. and was a U.S. Army veteran who served in post-war
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Debbie (Billy) B. Hudgens, and a son, Dan (Faye) Branyon, both of Ware Shoals; six grandchildren, Will, Nathan, Anna Beth and Lance Hudgens, and Cal and Betty Ann Branyon; great-grandchildren, Amaris and Cooper Branyon, Christian Davis and Mollie Swartzentruber; and three sisters, Betty Parker of Alexandria, VA, Myrtle Matilla of Wilmington, NC and Elizabeth Davidson of Los Angeles, CA.
Visitation will be from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Ware Shoals, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Leon Jones and Dr. Floyd Parker. Burial will follow in
Pallbearers will be Will, Nathan and Lance Hudgens; Cal Branyon, Travis McCullough and Jim Carroll.
